This large format video-intervention has a flame burning at full pressure, moving over the four faces of the Torre Colpatria in Bogotá. The capture of the video was made in 2012, on the Pan-American Highway, at the height of Cali. The recorded event originated due to an excess of pressure in the gas pipeline that supplies the city; for this reason, the gas company was forced to make a controlled leak, burning the gas at midnight to avoid a catastrophe. In this way, what at first was considered an impasse, could be read as a temporary monument that burst the urban landscape generating a metaphysical experience.

In many religions there are ceremonies around the fire. The Christian rite of the Sacred Fire for example; it consists in distributing among the believers the flame that descends in the tomb of Jesus in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem to commemorate the eve of the Resurrection of Christ. This is one of the few rituals that unites Catholics, Jews and Muslims in a single ceremony. Fire, generates in its presence a sense of unity, in which ideological borders are diluted. This intervention tries to generate the possibility that citizens can experience that feeling of being around the fire in a massive way.

In 1959, Yves Klein presented his Fire Fountain project at a conference at the Sorbonne in Paris. The project consisted of building fire sources on a water channel in a public square to replace traditional sources. This project would be materialized one year after his death in 1962, at the Haus Lange museum in Krefeld and on the water mirrors of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao in 1997. Yves Klein made a great contribution as regards the dimension of the immaterial in the art; He made paintings with fire and performances related to the concept of emptiness. This appropriation of the title of Klein's work is a gesture that pays tribute and at the same time decontextualizes it. Presenting this intervention with the title Fuente de Fuego, reaffirms the importance of his thought, proposing a situation in which it retains its ethereal and infinite meaning.
